Core Leadership

Charlana Kelly - Founder & Executive Director

Charlana has a passion for people; a love that transcends every culture and socio-economic class. There is no place she won't go to reach the hurting and lost. Author, speaker, program writer/developer, and leadership fanatic, Charlana has been married to the love of her life for 23 years. While she never had children of her own, she believes God has given her a multitude in the young women He has allowed her to mentor/disciple. Charlana understands that she is not here by chance, but divinely positioned to fulfill God's plan. She believes you are too and she would love to help you find your gifts and calling! Charlana takes great joy in seeing those around her succeed at life.

Charlana founded Christian Women's Coalition in 2001 with four of her closest friends. What began as a weekly prayer meeting to seek God's direction, turned into a multi-faceted ministry that reaches the hurting and lost not only in the community but around the world. Charlana has traveled the world preaching the Gospel and helping churches and ministries establish women's programs to help the least among us. She believes that everyone is called to lead and has given her life to developing great leaders in ministry.

Chenita Hart - Director of Ministry Logistics

Chenita lives in the same town where she was born, has been married for 19 years to the guy she met in kindergarten, and was chosen by God to parent two beautiful children, one of whom is diagnosed "autistic." A graduate of the University of Florida, Chenita is a teacher who considers the world her classroom. Her new favorite line — "Life is not Burger King, you can not have it your way." She is eternally grateful to God for Jesus and the power of the Cross.

Chenita Hart is the Director of Ministry Logistics, which really means she oversees everything! She is the travel assistant to the Founder and "Go-to" person who coordinates and plans all aspects of the ministry. She works very closely with the Executive Director to assist with ministry/program development. Chenita is also the liaison for CWC who through communication establishes and maintains mutual understanding and cooperation both for internal ministry issues, as well as for partners and affiliates.

Marcia Ricks - Director of Prayer & Community Outreach

Born in Jamaica West Indies, Marcia has her passport and will travel wherever God leads. Wife of William for 31 years and mother of twenty-somethings, Shawn and Laureen, Marcia has been a public school educator for 30 years. Isaiah 61 resonates in her spirit; she takes seriously what Jesus was anointed to do... set the captives free! She knows that He has commissioned her to do the same for those God brings across her path. Marcia's greatest call is to minister from the place where God's power is released, through worship and prayer.

Marcia Ricks is the Director of We Pray, CWC's global prayer network. She also leads Intercessory Prayer for CWC. Part of the mandate given to CWC is to under-gird ministries, organizations, and churches in prayer, coming along side to help God's plan be fulfilled in the earth. Marcia is also the head of Community Outreach, which partners with local schools, churches, and organizations that provide food, clothing, and mentorship to local children and families.

Joyce Gilpin - Director of Prison Ministry & World Outreach

A founding member of CWC, speaker for the International Council of CWC, and volunteer Chaplain at Lowell Correctional Institute (LCI). Joyce long ago took up the cause of women and children. You could say it was in her heart from youth to champion their cause. Heralding from Philadelphia, she is married to Bob and the mother of four wonderful children. Joyce has also traveled the world preaching the Gospel and continues to answer the call placed in her heart so many years ago... to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.

Joyce Gilpin is the Director of CWC's Prison Ministry and World Outreach. She oversees ministry in three women's facilities; LCI Main Unit, Annex, and Levy Work Camp. CWC ministers in the prison several times each week and provides bi-annual conferences for the women with an emphasis on teaching them about worship and prayer. Joyce also assists the Founder in CWC's World Outreach which provides guidance and counseling to churches and ministries around the world.
